Rev. Matt Larkin | Pastor
Matt Larkin has been the pastor at Longs Grove since 2008. He came to Longs Grove after 6 years in youth ministry in Maine and Virginia. He began his career in church ministry while serving as the youth director at the Highland Cliff Advent Christian Church in Windham, Maine. While there, he met his wife, Beth Ann, and they were married in 2004. Since moving to the Charlotte area, Beth has begun work in the Department of World Outreach at Advent Christian General Conference.
Matt grew up in Auburn, Maine where he attended the Auburn Advent Christian Church. As a young teenager, he became a follower of Christ through the relationship of a strong Christian mentor. named Paul Carter Since then, various different mentor/discipleship relationships have shaped and molded his life in many ways. Through those relationships he has come to deeply believe that this kind of relational ministry should a centerpiece of any healthy church.
Though Matt has moved south, he remains an avid Boston Red Sox fan. He is also a musician and plays a number of different instruments. Please feel free to contact Matt if you have any questions about Longs Grove that you can't find here on our site, or if you just need to talk!
